Dear Khun Chairat,

I have come through the last month of the year and almost time to go back. My year as an exchange student isn't absolutely perfect if I compare with everyone else's but it is all good as much as I could gain. For the past one year, I have gone through many experiences from being in another country with different people, different lifestyles, different cultures and learning from the mistakes. I have now grown up not only outside but also inside my mind. I can decide what I should do and what I shouldn't. My host families and friends are the part of my success. They encourage me to do the good thing and always be my side.

From attending to school and meeting a new group of the same age of people took me to the new environment, most of them are really good people but some of them just lost their way who aren't the model to follow but they are the example to learn not to be.

At school, I wouldn't be attracted to anyone because if the students don't know me, I looked just like one normal Asian girl who people thought that I might be a new Chinese or Korean student in school. I am still one of the Asians but I am the special one. These made people really wanted to talk to me and I always have a smile on my face because Thailand "The land of Smile" and now some of my friends say Let's do Jade's smile when we take photos. At first I found it was really boring and annoying to answer the same questions that everyone always asked me like How do you find about Australia, Do you like Australia better?, How long are you here for? How many year at school have I got left when I go back, when will I go back to Thailand, or more specifically things for example asked but after that they made me felt like I was a famous star who has attracted to everyone and be interested in. I didn't want best friends who can go everywhere with me as my buddy or friends who seem like I have known for 10 years because I know that one year from never known each other before, isn't enough to have true friends but I just wanted friends who can help me when I have problems, who I can talk and share my stories with, who understand me and never left me alone and who will never forget me. Now I have got what I want and I don't want to be sad to not see them again after I left because one day when I come back here again I am sure that I will visit them. And I am looking forward for my friends who will come to visit me afterward.

Meeting another exchange student from all around the world was amazing and because we all have the same thing we are doing, made us become really cool group of people and our relationship are very strong. Being a young ambassador to share my cultures to the people and learning from them at the same time was really fun thing to do. Not only Australian cultures and traditions, I also learn some thing new about another 10 different countries. From the different continents in the world, different language speakers but all have the same goal which is learn how to spend one year as an exchange student. From the different nationalities strangers become friends indeed. "I have for the connections around the world"

District 9680 which is my hosted district, cover North Sydney suburban area where is the part of this biggest industrial city in Australia. Many Asian people live here and about 45% of the student my school are Australian born Chinese and Koreans. And it's usual if sometimes they speak their first language and make people annoying. And one thing that frightened me sometimes is like some Asians and Indians get raced from the white at school but I am glad that I get along with everyone in my year and some of the year below very well. I didn't find much interesting from living in the big city where isn't different from Bangkok apart from I got to visit many famous and important sight around Sydney by taking public transports so I spent so much time to sightsee many places in Sydney with the other exchange students during the holidays which is quite good by having plan almost every weekend. I sometimes walk to my friends house just take for 5 minutes and hang around without making any troubles for my host parents to take me and pick me up. I live in the suburb called Epping, the next suburb to Cheltenham where the school is located and take me just only 5 minutes by train to school not include walking from house to the train station for 15 minutes.

Attending to the rotary club meeting every week give me a great opportunity to get to know all of Rotarians and help me to improve my English much better and stronger. Giving them a short speech from telling about I have done during the week, or some time I didn't have any exciting thing but I still speak in front of everyone and that made my English public speaking skill more fluent. Being a part of the rotary club, I have got a great opportunity to do so many things such as the community service which I help and entertained the old people, organized by my hosted club and my school. The Rotarians sometimes take me out for dinner with their family or some of them took me out to the country sides which I was really interested and I learnt about how they live and what they do especially from being the really Aussie at the outback.

One of the thing that make my year has been great and fun are the activities that my hosted Rotary district has made and organized for us such as the camping weekend at the Basin, Namaroo weekend that we got to know the outbound students, Sailing day with Rotary club of St Ives, Umina beach weekend hosted by Rotary club of Umina beach, International Night the concert that made by the exchange students and Safari are the best part of the year.

The most significant thing that have shaped me who I am today at this moment and this place is all of the supports from District, my sponsored club, Rotary Club of Bangrak and whom it may concern including my family who made this year happened for me. I should address to thank you for the most valuable time and the advantages that I have gained from this memorable year.
