Dear DGE.Chairat,

I'm Phanthira Chatthong or Prair. I have been in Alaska for seven months and I will move to the fourth host family soon. The school will be over in less than one month. In here, it still has the snow but it is starting to melt.

Last January the Rotary district 5010 organized the Shoussout which I met YE coordinator, Rebound, Inbound and Outbound. It was an excited time for an outbound because they announced the country. It is a good time to meet other inbound again, listen to the experiences from the Rebound and also get to know other outbound too. I have a lot of fun over there because I tried Snowboarding.

Last February, I went to volunteer at the Kids' Kitchen. It's a non-profit organization in Anchorage, Alaska which helps to feed hungry children healthy and nutritious meals. The meals served have come from donations of food and money from private citizens, businesses, and organizations. ( From the picture in the kitchen the man named Elgin Jones who had a dream of feeding hungry children.)

At my school, there was a Spirit week which we will dress up by the theme of each day. And at lunch time it had a fashion show for a person who are interested. (The pictures that I attached was the International theme.)

The Model UN club that I joined, there was a Model United Nation Annual Conference of Alaska which was held at the University of Anchorage Alaska. I was a Delegate of Myanmar of the UNICEF committee. It was a good experience to participate it. If I could I wish to choose Thailand but the country choice for each school will be different.

Last March, after I moved to the third host family they took me to their cabin in Matanuska Glacier, Alaska. It was very nice over there. I went hiking on the glacier with the snowshoes, see the small ice cave and I saw the Northern Lights or Aurora too.

And last two weeks, I have an International Fair at the school which was organized by the International Club and the Foreign Exchange Students. There are 12 exchange students from 10 different countries. We have the presentation from the first period until the end of school. For my booth, I also made Thai Custard or Sangkaya. I met a lot of students from many classes. I'm so glad to be part of this fair and to be the representative of Thailand.

Sincerely,

Phanthira Chatthong (Prair)
