Dear Dr. Slakjit and Khun Chairat

Hello, I'm Pimmada Laohasiri or Anz.  I'm an exchange student from Rotary club of Sathorn D.3350 to Taiwan.  My host club is Lukang East D3460.  I've been here for 7 months, and I'm sorry for not having any report sent to you.  However, I'm writing to tell you that I'm doing pretty well here.

Here in Taiwan, I don't think it is much different from Thailand. The only major different for me is the language.  I know a few of Chinese before I came here, but it wasn't enough to communicate yet.  Now, since I've been study a lot of Chinese here, I can communicate more fluently.  I'm really happy about that, and make me even wanted to study more in this language.  Oh, On December , My Rotary District had the Chinese Speech Contest. I won the prize ! . I am so pround about it ^o^.

I have 4 host families through out my year here, and I'm currently staying with my third host.  They are very nice, and I love them so much! They take care of me just like I'm their daughter. This make me feel like I'm living with my own family.

The school I'm attending here is National Lukang Senior High School. There is also another Rotary exchange student from Mexico studying here with me. I really enjoy studying here. I have different classmates for different classes. My classes are Chinese, English, Geography, Art, Computer, P.E., Swimming, Activity's club, and National Defence.  There is a special class for me, which is a Fishing class. In this special class, we always bike to study outside the classroom.  It's just awesome.

My friends here are very nice. One of my best friends is "Xiao Bai." She helps me in everything.

During the weekend, I usually hang out with my friends.  We often go to Taichung, the big city close to my town. There is a lot of interesting places to visit. At the end of April, I will be having a trip to Penghu with my Rotary district. We will go to a beach, and I'm really looking forward for that. I'm sure it will be lots of fun!

Last but not least, I would like to say "thank you" to Rotary D.3350 in Thailand for giving me this wonderful opportunity to see more of the world. This year, as an exchange student, make me a lot stronger and becoming more mature. I experience a lot of new things, and meet many people that will be very important for my life in the future. I am so glad that I've made a decision to be a Rotary Youth Exchange Student. Thank you again for all the support.

With respect,

Pimmada Laohasiri
