Dear Dr. Salakjit

It has been 10 months already that I have been here. I'm pretty much both happy and sad that I'm about going back to Thailand on the 16th of July. Durango, Colorado make me feel like I'm home. For all the time I have spent my exchange life in USA, I have experienced new culture, new people, new weather, new food, new school, new families and friends, new society and new me! I love learning and adjusting myself but being myself at the same time. I absolutely have learned how to help myself into all the difference situation without my real family. I believe that I became an older young girl and also a real Thai embassador.

I'm very much happy staying here at this time of my life. At my first and last Prom, we all dressed up really fancy and we danced lots. It was a real good experience. I'm just done with high school couple days ago. Since I was a senior in Durango High School, I will be able to joy the graduation this weekend. I feel like I had a good year in High School, by
joying Interact Club, arts, theatre and Spanish classes. And here you go!! I want to tell my mom(Khun Mae) I'm giving you all grade As for 15 classes I took this year. Hope you are happy to see them when I get back home... I
love you ka! Winning $500 and leaved my logo for the little Durango town made me feel glad indeed, and it has been wonderful getting to know the new community that I was a part of it. Durango people is very special to me, especially my 3 host families that I always called all of them mom and dad, my friends that they would be my best friends forever and my Rotary Club- the one in the morning and the most actived one! I'm hoping that I will see them again.

Last Spring Break, I went to California with the host family that has hosted my sister(Fah) last year and another exchange student from Taiwan. We had a wonderful time in San Fran. The amazing time that I met JaAe and hung around together was fabulous. Traveling is always fun to me and it also makes me realized how wide the world is and how lucky I am to discovered this part of the world! I went to Lake Powell in Utah state on Mother's Day's weekend and we fished and played in the houseboat. I did Thai dinner for a night, they all loved it. I slept with tons of stars and nice warm weather that made me feel almost like in Thailand. I did a babysit job once and I got $30 for 4 hours. It was a hard and also a great time being the first babysitter for the 18 months baby. I also cooked Thai dinner for
my current host family once in a while. Although, I cannot have a real job, I talked to my Rotary Club about cooking Thai food to earn my money for the USA tour in summer, which already costed my parents's $2300. Then, I did
Thai dinner for 5 people and I proudly got $180. They absolutely loved our food.

Being an exchange student from our gorgeous country makes me proud of myself. I made lots of people want to visit Thailand with their interested and respectful!

I will write to you again later and i hope you will like my photos.

Thank you for giving me the most adorable time to learn many new
things that would be very important for my whole life and lot of memories.

Zen
